Barclaycard are making constant phone calls to a woman who had my number over a year ago but moved away from this town. Speaking to the agent did not stop it. They no longer accept the emails which I send whenever I get a call, as they like to limit themselves to two emails a day. I don't want useless phone calls.

i wrote to mbna and asked for a reduction in my interest charges and they replied saying they want a breakdown of all my incoming/outgoing finance. they also said in the same letter that they have cancelled my account, i should return my card and no further transactions can be made using it. i had also asked for a copy of the original credit agreement which they have not sent so far! not sure what to do next, im not behind with payments just struggling to keep up!

Hi
I have been using the NATIONWIDE credit card for many years in Europe and Australia New Zealand Singapore ......

The exchange rate on this card is about 2-3% below the median exchange rate for INTERBANK. There are no other charges for transactions

Be warned that the POST OFFICE exchange rate is about 7.3% on the same basis !!!. Other credit cards such as Tesco offered add overseas charges andlike most do not identify the exchange rate used for each transaction.
The exchange rate used by the Post Office for over the counter and over the Internet for cash is similar outrageous but evn more so.
The claim of commission free may be true but the real charges INCLUDE THE EXCHANGE RATE.

If cash is required on the trip then it is well worthwhile to clear the balance on the NATIONWIDE card and then load it with credit.Overseas ATM can then be used and the excellent 2-3% below Interbank rate can be obtained for cash.
The catch is that if the card is used for other transactions the the deposit is used first to offset any purchase and immediate interset charges accrue.

I have been charged a fee and interest on my 0% balance for not making a payment last month, despite a credit going into the account for over £400. This was for a cancelled car insurance policy.
Is this fair?

GE Money is also abusing its US customers regularly.

They do not follow federal laws and flat out refuse to resolve disputes regarding their Bookkeeping errors"

You have to engage the Federal Government with every complaint

Hi

It really is frightening the impact of having such a low minimum repayment. Only a few years ago (it seems to me) all credit card companies had a minimum repayment of 5%. Even this seemed low at the time but at least it wouldn't result in such an appallingly long period to pay the debt off.

It's not just about using the same PIN for all your cards. People should also refrain from using their birth date or phone numbers as their PIN. Also, if you would be using your credit cards when you eat out, do not take your eyes off it. Sometimes, swapping of credit cards can occur and you would left with something that looks like your credit card but is not your card.

MAKEING A COMPLAINT TO GE MONEY OR GE CREDIT CARD SERVICES?

BEWARE THE UNDER £100 SCAM!

WAS IT CARD FRAUD, CARD DATA THEFT, OR WAS COMPUTERWEBSTORE.CO.UK HAS YOUR CARD COMPANY MADE IT YOUR PROBLEM

WAS IT A SUPPLIER WHO DIDN'T DELIVER BUT TOOK THE MONEY, DID YOU FIND THEY OFFERED ANOTHER DELIVERY DATE AND THEN THE SUPPLIER FAILED TO DELIVER, DID THEY OFFER YOU A REFUND AND NEVER REPAY? DID YOU PAY BY CREDIT CARD

GE MONEY OFFER ONLINE FRAUD PROTECTION – Y/N CATCH OR SCAM?
GE MONEY DONT OFFER ONLINE FRAUD PROTECTION. IF A TRANSACTION IS LESS THAN £100 GE MONEY CLAIM EXCEMPTION FROM THE CONSUMER CREDIT ACT. YOUR GE CREDIT CARD IS NOT SECURE.

GOT PROBLEMS WITH ASDA GE MONEY, AVOID THIS CARD, THEIR BOOKKEEPING IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS. ASDA RUN A MILE FROM THEIR OWN PRODUCT AS SOON AS YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT GE MONEY. ASDA SAY ITS YOUR PROBLEM.

WATCH OUT FOR PLATITUDES AND SYMPATHY, PHONE CALLS TO CARD COMPANIES ARE RECORDED, USED BY THEIR LAWYERS IF ANY MATTER GOES TO COURT. WATCH OUT FOR LEADING QUESTIONS, THEY USE THESE TO REMOVE YOUR RIGHTS, AND DISTORT OR TWIST YOUR STORY AGAINST YOU.

BETTER TO WRITE A LEETER, LIST THE COMPLAINTS AND DEFECTS, IDENTIFY ANY CONTACT TIMES WITH STAFF ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO LIED, DESCRIBE THE PROBLEM IN SIMPLE TERMS DO NOT GET DRAWN INTO SIDE ISSUES.

CORRUPTION IS EVERYWHERE, BE SUSPICIOUS IF THEY ARGUE.
