Many consumers are keen to save money on their borrowing, such as on their credit card borrowing, but with credit card interest rates so high the cost of borrowing can be crippling for some consumers. However, a great offer from Natwest could help borrowers to enjoy big savings on their credit card debt, making it cheaper and faster to clear off existing debts.
The Natwest Platinum credit card is now offering consumers a very generous 16 months worth of interest free credit on balance transfers. In order to qualify for this offer borrowers will need to transfer the balances from their existing credit card accounts within three months of opening their accounts, which provides plenty of time to get things sorted out.
Once the balances have been transferred borrowers will be able to benefit from a sixteen month period within which to clear the transferred balance without being charged any interest, which could save many people a small fortune, particularly if they have balances on high interest credit cards.
As with other balance transfer cards the Natwest Platinum credit card does charge a balance transfer fee, which comes in at 2.9 percent of the transferred balance with a minimum fee of £5. The credit card is available to those that have an income of at least £10,000, subject to credit checks and status. The offer is exclusive to consumers that make their applications for the credit card online.
There are also additional benefits to the Natwest Platinum credit card. As well as the sixteen month 0% period on balance transfers cardholders will also be able to benefit from 0% interest on purchases for the first three months from when the account is opened. The typical APR on the card is 16.9 percent (variable) but Gold customers will be able to take advantage of an initial 1 percent discount on the APR for at least a twelve month period.
