"New 0 percent balance transfer card available from Clydesdale"

By Reno | May 20th, 2010 | Balance Transfers

Over recent years a rising number of consumers across the UK have managed to benefit from interest free balance transfer credit cards. With these 0 percent balance transfer credit cards users have been able to transfer the balances from high interest credit cards onto the balance transfer card and then enjoy a lengthy period of interest free credit within which to repay the balance on the card.

Whilst the choice of balance transfer credit cards is said to have become more limited over the past couple of years since the onset of the global credit crisis there are still some great deals on balance transfer cards available, and one of these has recently been launched by Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank.

The Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank has now launched a credit card that offers interest free credit on balance transfers for sixteen months, which means that cardholders are able to enjoy a lengthy period within which to repay their transferred balance without being charged any interest. This could save some cardholders a small fortune in interest if they are transferring a balance from a high interest credit card onto the 0 percent balance transfer card.

Whilst there is a 3 percent transfer fee charged on this credit card users will also get to enjoy three months of interest free credit on their purchases in addition to the sixteen months interest free credit on balance transfers. This will again result in savings on interest payments for customers.

Steve Reid from Clydesdale Bank said: ‘The 0% interest period starts from the date you open your credit card account, making the card ideal for customers who want to reduce their spending as well as reducing the cost of any outstanding debts through a balance transfer.’
