Choosing a Better Credit Card Deal

Many of us when it comes to credit cards will choose the first one that we are offered, as long as the APR on the credit card is of an acceptable level and we always tell ourselves that we will be paying off our account at the end of each month anyway, but as a lot of us find to our cost it doesn’t always work out that way and this is all because we don’t want to go through all the hassle of actually picking the credit card that is right for us.

The thought of trying to work through all the financial speak that comes with the leaflets and adverts fills any of us with dread, from 0% balance transfers and purchase’s to APR to MasterCard and Visa and how do they differ from each other and which ones the best, it’s enough for you not to take out a credit card at all and stick to good old fashioned cash as you know where you are with that.

Transparency is what we need, as we are not the financial wizards like the credit card issuers and banks, who are trying to sell they’re credit cards to us.

If you are thinking of a credit card for the first time or are thinking of dropping the one that you currently have, then the only thought on your mind, should be picking the best credit card for YOU and not the one that you see first in your daily newspaper or junk mail that falls on your doormat.

The first thing to think about, is whether or not you can afford to pay off your credit card in full each month, if so then this will make picking a credit card so much easier, as any credit card will just about work for you, as you will not incur any interest charges, though you could still check out which credit cards are offering the best perks, such as cash back, which is ideal for those who pay off their balance in full.

Those who cant pay in full each month and intend to use the credit card to borrow, should look at trying to get a credit card with the lowest interest rate possible, which should really speak for it’s self really, as a credit card with a low APR is going to safe you a fortune in the long run.

As for MasterCard and Visa, both are basically the same and choosing a credit card with either on it will not make a blind bit of difference to how you can save cash or pay your bill each month, as they only work for the banks and credit issuers by keeping track of what we spend.

Pick a credit card so that it will become your friend and not an enemy that can and will, take every last penny you earn to pay it, till the day comes that you cant afford to pay it anymore.
